Gregory Patrick McGregor, of Traverse City, passed away July 25, 2021. He was born July 1st 1974, in Detroit Michigan, to parents John McGregor and Judy McGregor (Donnelly).

As a child Greg spent time camping and fishing with his family. When he was school age, he played baseball. In 1992 he graduated from Benzie Central High School.

He enjoyed many hobbies such as drawing, photography and in his later years, building guitars. Greg's greatest passion was music. He played different instruments and was a part of several bands through the years.

Greg was self-employed as a plumbing and heating contractor. He was an extremely hard worker. Greg took great pride in his two children. He spent time teaching his daughter Charlie to play guitar and played video games with his son Kru. Greg had the driest sense of humor, with a mix of wit and cleverness, often leaving you hanging with a deadpan expression on his face.

Greg is survived by his wife Angela (Wheeler); children Charlie and Kru McGregor; mother Judy McGregor; siblings Robert (Brenda) McGregor, Marilyn Leahy and Angela (Christopher) Crane; father and mother in-law Chuck and Karen Wheeler; brother-in-law Adam (Boualom) Wheeler; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.

Greg was preceded in death by his father John McGregor Jr.

A memorial service for Greg is planned for Friday, July 30 at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City. The service begins at 11AM, visitation one hour prior. Following the service a reception will be held at Journey Wesleyan Church, 2825 W. South Airport Road, Traverse City, MI 49684.
