Greg was born January 8th, 1963 to Leslie "Brent" and Norma (Hency) Walton in Traverse City. He was number 2 of 4 kids.
Greg grew up with a great love of music and the outdoors. Spending summers waterskiing and winters snow skiing, and snowmobiling with his friends and family. To know Greg was to know a man with intense passion, love, and drive for his family and his businesses, The Sound Room and RPM Records. Often described as artistic, passionate, giving, caring, driven, gentle and funny, a father and son's best friend, someone to always look up to who would always be there ready and eager to help everyone. Greg will forever be remembered as a one of a kind husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend by all. He will never be forgotten, his legacy will always live on. Greg leaves behind his parents: Brent and Norma Walton, his wife: Shawna, his children: Alex (Megan, Ashlyn, Madyson, and Nicholas), Samantha Smith (Nick, Harper, Atwood), Christopher (Hannah), Emily (Harley), Grace, and his beloved dog, Leland.

A celebration of life will be held this spring, dates to follow. A private gathering will take place with the family on Friday December 4, 2020. Please tune in to www.rjfh.tv at 3:00pm to watch the service virtual.
