---- — CINCINNATI, Ohio — Gwendolyn L. "Gwen" Williams, 74, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Traverse City, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011, at Meadow Brook Care Center following a long illness.Born March 9, 1936, in Detroit, she was the daughter of the late Glen and Helen (Sopp) Gibson. On Aug. 15, 1959, in Detroit, she married Earl D. Williams, who preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 2005.Gwen is survived by her children; son, Glen (Gerlie) Williams, of San Francisco, Calif.; daughter, Connie (David) Hanson, of Cincinnati, Ohio; and five grandchildren, Katie, Sarah, David, Samantha and Andrew.Memorial services will be held at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at a later date at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens. In remembrance of Gwen, memorials may be directed to The Alzheimer's Association.
