ELK RAPIDS - H. Richard Emmett

H. Richard Emmett, 91, of Elk Rapids, Michigan, died Monday, October 9, 2017. He is survived by wife Joanne of 59 years and three daughters, Leslie (Mark) Vanderwerf, Linda Jensen (Joe Bronk) and Laura (Brian) Derusha; eight grandchildren, David (Bre), Jenny, Katie, Nicole, Alec, Lauren, Brandon (Emily) and Delaney; and three great grandchildren, Cameren, Alex and Stella. He was preceded in death by parents, Russell and Dorothy, three sisters, one brother and an infant son.
Visitation will be on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 10:00 – 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Elk Rapids. Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be celebrated at 11:00 am with Rev. Robert J. Zuchowski presiding. A graveside service will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Elk Rapids immediately following mass. There will also be a luncheon at the church following the graveside service.
