TRAVERSE CITY – Hazel Marie Hoch, 95 of Traverse City passed away on May 26, 2015 at the Grand Traverse Pavilions surrounded by her family.
Hazel was born on November 24, 1919 in Kingsley, MI to the late Edwin and Ella (Wellein) Clark. She married the late Gustuf Hoch on March 16, 1940 in Traverse City, MI.
Hazel worked for the State Hospital in the domestic service area and retired in 1982. She enjoyed wood carving, gardening, fishing and hunting. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially enjoyed family BBQ's.
Surviving Hazel are her twin daughters, Betty (Ross) Bremer and Bonnie Headlee, daughters, Violet Yack and Kathy (Greg) Sheldon, son, Edwin Hoch and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Hassett, three brothers, Fred Clark, Glen Clark, and Charles Clark as well as three grandsons.
Funeral services will take place at 3:00 PM today, May 31, 2015 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Interlochen with a visitation from 1 to 3 PM at the church. Burial services will take place at 10:30 AM on Monday June 1 at the Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
