Hazel Marie Squire

Hazel Marie Squire, 93, of Traverse City passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the Grand Traverse Pavilions.
Survived by daughter Judy Mackey (George), grandson Scott Mackey (Rachel), granddaughter Kristen (Clair) Marvin, great grandson Connor Ryan, great granddaughter Madison Ryan, daughter Sharon (Greg) Hodge, granddaughter Jenifer (Brian) VanZanten, great grandchildren Joel VanZanten, Grace VanZanten, Ana VanZanten, grandson Jonathan (Melissa) Hodge and great grandsons Caden Hodge and Asher Hodge and great granddaughter Zoey Hodge, daughter Glenda (Martin) Lee, grandsons Ryan Clawson and Robert Lee and great granddaughter Isabella Lee, and sister Vivian Park.
She is preceded in death by her husband Kermit Squire, daughter Wanda Squire, grandson Michael Clawson, brother Arnold Sherwood, Ralph Sherwood, and parents Marie and Alanson Sherwood
Hazel dedicated her life to her family and her church. She was recognized for her extensive volunteer work and contributions to her church and community. Family requests memorial contributions be made to Grand Traverse Pavilions where she was a resident at Hawthorne Cottage for 11 years and The Pavilions for the last year.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 4-6 PM at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, September 20 at 3:30 PM at the Traverse Bay United Methodist Church with a visitation held one hour prior. Pastor Kathy Snedeker will officiate.
