Traverse City - Helen Bint, 84, of Traverse City passed away May 10, 2015 at Munson Medical Center.
Helen was born on July 28, 1930 in Detroit to the late Harry "Wayne" and Gertrude (Peters) Wing.
Helen retired from General Motors in the early 1990's after 15 years with the company in Ypsilanti.
Helen was a strong, independent woman who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She loved to take care of her family, dote over her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, go shopping, and putz around the house.
Helen is survived by her six children, Phillip (Christine) of Livonia, John (Peggy) of Lake Ann, Robert (Christeen) of Lake Ann, Cheryl (Martin) Magoon of Traverse City, Thomas of Traverse City, and Karen (Timothy) Slovinski of Dundee; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and brother, Michael Wing of Karlin.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, brother, David and ex-husband and father of her children, George Bint.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 3:00 pm at the Reynolds- Jonkhoff Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Graveside services will take place at a later date at the Benzonia Township Cemetery.
