Helen Jane Rundquist, 76, of Elk Rapids, formerly of Manistee, passed away November 22, 2017, at her home. Helen was born on April 11, 1941 in Northport, MI to the late Raymond and Grace Theodore Abbot. She married the late Baldomero "Bob" Jimenez on October 15, 1976.
Helen was a proud and loyal member of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians, as well as a fierce lover of Mother Nature and the habitat that surrounded her home daily. She would feed the wildlife and then watch for hours as they feasted on her generosity.
She was genuine, generous, dynamic and feisty. She had wisdom to share with many and a hug to share with all. Her tribal community, her church community and her friends were people she cherished very much.
Helen is loved and missed dearly by her good friends; Joanne Johnson, Pauline and Dale Barber as well as many dear friends from her church community and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Visitation will take place November 30, 2017 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home; 305 Sixth Street, Traverse City, from 5-7pm.
