Henry Hansen, 69, passed away on March 2, 2026.

Henry was born on August 30, 1956 in Traverse City to the late Ronald LeRoy Hansen and Inza (Peckham) Homan. He was the beloved little brother of Beverly Somervile.

Henry was born in a time where autism was not recognized and had many difficult challenges, but despite that he led a wonderful life and was very happy and loved by all who knew him. He had many amazing caregivers who adored him.

He loved Star Wars and dinosaurs! As the great Yoda once said, Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those around you who transform into the great heavenly Force. He is now with his beloved father whom he cherished.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 1 - 2 pm at Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home followed by graveside services at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens. A luncheon will follow; details will be announced at the service.
