CADILLAC — Hildegard Emilie "Hilde" Beardslee, 94, of Cadillac, formerly a long-time resident of Traverse City, died Sunday morning, July 17, 2011, at Pleasant Lake Lodge AFC Home in Cadillac.Born Feb. 10, 1917, in Saginaw, she was the daughter of the late Henry D. and Mary (Amrheim) Beardslee.Hilde was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Dorcas Society. While living in Traverse City, Hilde enjoyed living in the Central neighborhood, which allowed her to frequently shop at her favorite store, Milliken's.She is survived by her children, Mary Witheridge, of Calumet, and Bill (Jean) Beardslee, of Kingwood, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Jana (Tim) Warnick, Mary (Chris) Smith and William Andrew Beardslee; along with four great-grandchildren.Hilde was preceded in death by two sisters, Irma Damman and Lydia Brede; and four brothers, William, Earl, Henry and Harold Richter.Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. today, July 19, with visitation one hour prior at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Zagore will officiate.
