Ilamae Louise Franklin, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend to everyone she met, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 in Traverse City, MI. Ilamae was born on August 14, 1939 in Traverse City, MI to the late Freeland and Glenna Sneden.

Ilamae was a dedicated nurse and caregiver throughout her life.

Ilamae adored her family and her true joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a passionate Detroit Tigers fan and will be cheering and yelling at them from heaven. In recent years, she enjoyed traveling and adventures with her family and friends and recently took her first cruise. Ilamae had an amazing green thumb and created beautiful flowers and plants around her home.

Ilamae is survived by her daughter Julie (Steve) Baesch, son Patrick (Rachel) Franklin, grandchildren Eric Baesch and Stephanie (Matt) Fiero, great grandchildren, Oliver and Willow and brother Lee (Barb) Sneden. She was preceded in death by her husband Ervin Franklin, her son Kenneth Franklin and her grandson Justin Baesch.

A graveside service will be held at Ogdensburg Cemetery, 16550 Center Rd, Traverse City, MI at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 24, 2025.
