Ilene Kathryn (Holsinger) Siler, 77, of Traverse City, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025. Ilene was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Ilene was born on April 7, 1948, to Harold and Emma Holsinger in Saginaw, Michigan. Ilene met her husband, Michael Siler, and they married in 1971. They raised five wonderful children together. Ilene enjoyed modeling for Jacobson's Department Store when she was young. But her real joy came later as a stay-at-home mom. In addition to the love she shared with her own children, Ilene provided childcare at her home for nearly 15 years. During this time, she was also co-owner of Siler Chevrolet Olds and M&B Woodworking in Merrill, MI. In her spare time, Ilene could be found enjoying crafts, sewing, and canning. Ilene was known as a wine connoisseur. She was always most happy when sharing a glass of wine and spending time with family and friends.

Ilene is survived by her children: Melissa Siler-Weaver (Christopher), Aaron Siler (Amy), Gretchen Hall, Nicolas Siler (Kellianne), 13 grandchildren: Candace, Racquel, Jourdan, Sydney, Bryce, Madissen, Joshua, Lexi, Brady, Branden, Coulton, Wyatt, Henry; one great grandchild, Waylon; many nieces and nephews; and her best friend and sister from another mother for over 65 years, Carolyn Wells.

Ilene was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Robert Holsinger, sister-in-law, Shirley Holsinger, Addie O'Brien, Timothy O'Brien, Brett Siler, and her "bonus daughter," Nicole Royal.

Ilene's family has requested, in lieu of flowers, that friends and family make donations to the Dementia Society of America (P.O. Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901).
