TRAVERSE CITY — Inez E. Blaser, 94, of Traverse City, passed away on Aug. 13 2011. In the silence of the night on Aug. 13, 2011, Inez heard the sweet, sweet voice of the Lord, proclaim, "It is time," and in a split second she shed the cares of this world to begin her journey into eternity. She leaves behind a family who loved her; sons, Robert (Ann), of Hickory Corners, Richard, of Traverse City, and Donald "Jim," of Traverse City; daughters, Vada (Bill) Baatz, of Interlochen, and Evelyn (Robert) Hawkins, of Copemish; foster daughter, Donna Nelson; brother, Robert Stoops; sister, Dorothy Umlor; grandchildren, Charles, Rose-Marie, Amy, Virginia, Kristen, Terri-Lynn, Brian (Linda), Kevin (Tammy), Kerry, Rebecca, Wendy, Kenneth Jr., Marcus, Aaron, Betty Jo, and Loretta; 36 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild. Waiting for her in heaven are her twin sister, Bernice Mort; sister, Doris Stoops; brother, Doyle Stoops; foster child, Richard Smedley; foster grandchild, Cindy James; Inez's parents, Robert and Edith Stoops; and of course, her beloved husband, Jack. Inez and Jack were wed on March 21, 1937, and they spent the next 64 years together. In their later years, Inez and Jack enjoyed traveling; for them it was an adventure. Jack went home to be with his Lord Aug. 7, 2001, and now she has joined him. Inez was a member of Mt. Zion Family Worship Center and truly enjoyed spending time with her spiritual family and many friends. At her request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011, at Mt. Zion Family Worship Center, 4950 Silver Pines, Traverse City. Inurnment will immediately follow the service at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens, 3537 Veterans Dr., followed by a luncheon at Mt. Zion Family Worship Center. The Rev. Michael Wermuth and the Rev.
