Obituary

FLINT - Irene Magyar Niles, passed into heaven on May 3, 2016 at McLaren Flint after a short illness. Irene was born on January 23, 1923 to Joseph and Rose (Kubicseck) Magyar. She graduated from Northern High School and the Flint School of Comptometer. Irene worked in accounting at AC Spark Plug for 33 years. Irene and Paul H. Niles were married in Flint on Feb. 4, 1956. They retired in 1976 and relocated permanently to Lake Leelanau. Paul preceded her in death on December 10, 2006. Irene enjoyed skiing, golf and was an encouraging coach. Irene served as a Munson Medical Center volunteer for over 30 years. She was a loving caregiver, hostess and shared her smile and a kind word with everyone she met.

Surviving is step daughter Raelene Niles and granddaughter, Deana (Scott) Rosenbaum of Georgia, 5 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. Brother in law, Jim Darnell of Saginaw, Nephew Tom (Ginny) Darnell of Saginaw, cousin Dorothy Burton of Flint, Nephew Don Burton of Swartz Creek and Niece Deb Collier (Curt) of Flushing, and many cousins .

A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Bingham Township Cemetery in Suttons Bay, MI at 11am.
