Obituary

TRAVERSE CITY — Isabelle A. Eisner passed away peacefully on March 29, 2011, at the Grand Traverse Pavilions.Born on Feb. 17, 1922, the daughter of Howard and Eva Blonshine, Isabelle lived her entire life in the Grand Traverse County area. On June 24, 1939, she married Arthur R. Eisner, who passed away in 1967. She then spent 30 years with her loving companion, John Lardie until his death in 2000. Isabelle worked at several different jobs over the years while raising her seven children. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, watching the birds, crocheting, poetry and reading. She especially enjoyed visits and getting telephone calls from her many children and friends during her stay at the Pavilions.Isabelle is survived by her three sons, William (Delores), James (Helen) and Raymond; her four daughters, Teresa Maue, Ann (Ted) Zvirblis, Sharon (Mike) Norton and Debra (Bill) Rogers; sister, Allene Powell; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.Isabelle was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; her companion, John Lardie; three brothers; two sisters; and son-in-law, Harlan Maue.A funeral service will be held at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home Saturday, April 2 , 2011, at 7 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Tim Menzer will officiate.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.The family of Isabelle wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of Grand Traverse Pavilions for their loving care over the past three years.Please sign Isabelle's online guestbook at www.reynolds-jonkhoff.com .
