Ivan Joseph Woodcox, 70, of Traverse City passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Munson Medical Center.
Ivan was born to Lloyd and Ophra (Courterior) Woodcox on February 16, 1947 in Traverse City. Ivan worked as a finish carpenter for Bogart-Sedlacek Construction for many years before a back injury prevented him from working.
Ivan will be remembered for love of family and friends. He loved his Thursday night card games, especially euchre. As a young man Ivan enjoyed fishing, motorcycle riding and bowling. Ivan gave incredible hugs. Hugs that let you know that he really, truly cared. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Rachelle 'Shelly' Woodcox; children Alexandria (Jason Bartz) Woodcox, Lloyd Woodcox, Angela (Tim) Fader, Carl Robert (Jody) Woodcox and Melinda (Michael) Cieslik, 6 grand children and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Ophra (Courterior) Woodcox.
Per Ivan's wishes cremation has taken place. The family will hold private family services at a later date.
