Jacquelin M. Pierman, 90, of Traverse City passed away April 26, 2018 at the Grand Traverse Pavilions with family by her side.

Jackie was born on April 12, 1928 in Grand Rapids to the late Gordon N. and Blanche (Stites) Valley.

Jackie married the love of her life, Doyle H. Pierman on August 23, 1946 in Galesburg.

Jackie was a devoted wife and mother. She cherished her family and loved caring for children. In the late 90's Jackie and Doyle moved to Traverse City full time after Doyle retired from Consumers Power. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing and gardening. She also liked to attend church activities and study her bible. Jackie and Doyle were members of First Congregational Church. Above all else, Jackie loved her family.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Bethany Pierman and son-in-law Larry Reeder.

Jackie is survived by her husband of 72 years, Doyle; her six children Stephanie Reeder, David (Marilyn) Pierman, Holly Whitlock, Doyle Pierman, Lauren (Frank) Blossom and Valley (Michael) Ufer, 16 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

The funeral service celebrating Jackie's life will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Peninsula Township Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in her memory may be directed to First Congregational Church or to a charity of one's choice.
