Jacquelin "Jackie" Louise Wyckoff, 88, of Traverse City, died Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Munson Medical Center.
Jackie was born on December 1, 1927 in Traverse City to the late Hervey John and Margaret (Heimbaugh) Wahl. She graduated from Traverse City Central High School in 1945 and married Norman Wyckoff on May 24, 1947 in Traverse City.
Jackie worked at National Bank & Trust (previously First Peoples State Bank), Traverse City State Hospital, and later at Traverse City State Bank for over 30 years. She was a long-standing member of the First Congregational Church and worked in the church office back to the days of the Rev. Dr. Howard Towne. She sang in the choir for over 40 years, served as Music Librarian, and on both the Funeral Committee and Diaconate.
She loved gardening, knitting (was a member of the Knit Wit Club), and had a special love for music, especially church organ music.
Surviving Jackie is her husband Norm of 69 devoted years. She was a loving mother to Susan (Darrell) Darling and Charles (Cathie Cline) Wyckoff; grandchildren, Chris (Nicole) Street, Justin Street, Anna (Allen Rohner) Maxbauer, Kaye Maxbauer, Ross Maxbauer; great grandchildren Nicholas and Scout Street and nephew Jeff Larson. Also surviving are very special friends, Joanne and Robin Hart, from Pennsylvania.
Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Peggy Maxbauer, and her sister Marilyn Larson.
A memorial service will be held in Jackie's honor on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 1pm with a visitation held one hour prior at the First Congregational Church. Interment will follow in the Garden of Remembrance. The Rev. Dr. Gary Hogue will officiate. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Garden of Remembrance at the Church.
