Jacqueline Frances Boyd, Leppek
On Tuesday, June 6, 2023, Jacqueline Leppek of Traverse City, MI, loving wife, and mother of five children and grandmother to five grandchildren and great grandmother to three, passed away at age 89.
Jackie was born on December 14, 1933, in Saginaw, MI to Leo and Mary (Nalevayko) Boyd. On April 28, 1956, she married Donald Roy Leppek at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Saginaw, MI. They raised five children Linda (Brian Beckwith), Tim, Dan (Nancy Rathbun), Katie (Brad Kunz), Joe.
In 1970 the family moved to Traverse City. Jackie and Don shared their love of nature in the beautiful northern Michigan area with their children. Jackie especially enjoyed spending days on Long Lake and Lake Michigan with her family. To Jackie, a day was not complete without a delicious dessert to top it off. Jackie enjoyed professional, college and high school sports especially football. Education was important to Jackie. After seeing her children off to college, she also attended and received an associate degree from Northwestern Michigan College.
Jackie is preceded in death by her father, Leo and mother, Mary, husband, Don, brothers, Smokey and Tommy, son, Tim. She is survived by brothers, Jerry and Pat, four children, Linda, Dan, Katie and Joe, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
There will be a private memorial. The family would like to thank the staff of Orchard Creek Supportive Care in Traverse City and Hospice of Michigan for providing Jackie with excellent care.
