James Stanley Delikta

Traverse City - James Stanley Delikta, 72 of Traverse City passed away February 1, 2017 with his family by his side.

James was born on July 29, 1944 in Detroit to the late Edward Joseph and Dorothy Ann (Ciresi) Delikta.

On July 28, 1990, James married Bridget Weir at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

James was an assembler for General Motors. He was also a mechanic for BATA. He retired in 2010. In his spare time he enjoyed tinkering, playing with his grandson Kaleb and spending time with his family. He will be missed for his unique sense of humor and unconditional love.

James was preceded in death by his wife Bridget, his brother Carl, and his parents.

James is survived by his children Karin, Kerry, Tammy, Jeffrey (Erin), Travis (Kim), and Jessica, 18 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; siblings Leonard (Cindy), Donna, Beverly (Stanley) and Sharon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 6 - 9 pm at Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home.

The funeral service celebrating James' life will be held on Sunday February 5, 2017 at 2:00 pm with visitation held one hour prior at Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
