James "Jim" David Hebert

James David Hebert, Jr. (Jim) passed away on April 9, 2026, at the age of 70. Jim was born October 10, 1955, to Marie (Maxbauer) Hebert and James Hebert, Sr. in Bay City Michigan. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Pam (Bourque), son, Levi (Joanne), daughter, Sarah (Aaron), sisters, Jamie and Sharon. He is especially loved by his five grandchildren, Ziva, Callen, Enoch (Levi), Xander and River (Sarah). Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Marie, sister, Shelly, and brothers, Dan and John.

Jim attended Traverse City Schools, though he would be happy to point out that most of his later school years were spent in the woods behind the school which he later regretted.

Jim spent the last few decades doing lawn care and snow removal when it did not interrupt his motorcycling schedule. He found great peace on two wheels, or out on a kayak with a fishing pole.

Jim’s funeral will take place at 11:00 a.m., with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. on April 13, 2026, at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth St., Traverse City, Michigan 49684. He will be laid to rest in a private ceremony.

In lieu of flowers, Jim would have asked that you spend some time in the great outdoors, listen to Tom Petty, and donate to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
