James Irving Young, 73 of Traverse City passed away September 6, 2021 at Munson Medical Center.

James, or better known as Slim Jim to those who knew and loved him, was born on October 25, 1947 to the late James W. and Doris P. (Farrand) Camo in Milwaukee, WI.

James served our country honorably as a member of the United States Army.

He was a dedicated printer at Grand Traverse Continuous for many years.

In his free time he loved to golf, go for drives and go out to dinner. He also was the chaplain at the Eagles for many years and liked to watch sports with fellow members. He will be greatly missed.

Jimmy is survived by his best friend and spouse, Audrey L. Grigsby and many other close friends.

A memorial service and benefit will be held at the Eagles on 14th Street on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at 2 pm. Military Honors will be provided by our local honor guard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses. Envelopes will be available at the Eagles.
