Jamie Ruth Hall, 73 of Traverse City passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 19,
2019 at the Grand Traverse Pavilions. Jamie was born August 5, 1945 in Baldwyn,Mississippi to the late James Boyce and Ruth Beatrice Yarbrough. Jamie was adopted and raised by her loving grandparents, the late John and Louisa(Cummings) Roberts. She married the love of her life Chaplain Robert Hall on May 10, 1989. He preceded her in death on July 6, 2007. Jamie served as the chaplain for the jails in Grand Traverse, Benzie, and Leelanau Counties. She thoroughly enjoyed her commitment as a Chaplain to the inmates. Jamie had a passion for remembering prayer requests from those around her. She was an amazing seamstress. She loved to cross stitch and do puzzles while keeping a Diet Pepsi close at hand. She also loved gardening and had a wonderful green thumb. She could bring any plant back from the edge of death. Jamie was delighted with visiting Michigan Lighthouses and traveling. Above all, her greatest joy was time
spent with family, friends and especially grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter and a son; Suzan (Todd) Svec and Frank (Cheryl) Hincks. Her step-children; Larry (Alice) Hall, Steve (Sarah) Hall, Richard (Deb) Hall, Jerrold (Carol) Hall, Janis Yankee, Daniel (Doris) Hall, Barbara (Mike) Michels and Michael (Debra) Hall. Also surviving are grandchildren; Louisa, Caleb, Kayley, Melissa, Erin, Ruth, Karina and many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also, a brother Brent Yarbrough Lawton, Oklahoma along with many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Jamie was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister; Eddie Roberts, Dena Richardson and Paul Roberts.

Jamie's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Grand Traverse Pavilions Cherry Wing for their loving care of Jamie and giving them another 4 years with her.

A "Going Home Party" honoring Jamie will take place at 2:00 p.m., with visitation starting at 1:30 p.m., on Sunday June 9, 2019 at East Bay Calvary Church, 2225 E. Hammond Rd, Traverse City, MI 49686.
