Jane Clark Norcross, 87, of Traverse City passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 24, 2012 , surrounded by her family.
Born on Tuesday, December 2, 1924 , in Lawrence, KS, Jane was the daughter of the late George and Janet (Mahon) Clark . On Tuesday, August 28, 1945 in Grand Rapids, she married William "Bud" Norcross.
Jane was a member of the Northwest Michigan Orchid Society and the Traverse City Golf and Country Club She enjoyed playing tennis, bridge, golf and raising orchids.
Survivors include her children, Peter Norcross of Traverse City and Mary Norcross and her husband Tom Rutecki of Juneau, AK as well as her grandchildren Jenna and Nickolas Rutecki of Juneau, AK. Jane's sister, Mary Clark of San Francisco, CA also survives. Jane was preceded in death by her husband Bud in 2000.
At her request, no services will be held. For a more lasting memorial, and rather than flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions in Jane's name be directed to the Northwestern Michigan Orchid Society, Inc., 7015 Hilltop Ave., Traverse City, MI 49686 or to Munson Hospice c/o Munson Healthcare Regional Foundation, 210 Beaumont Place, Traverse City, MI 49684.
