Janeene Deeley Hagan, 91, passed away peacefully at home on May 5, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Jan 3, 1923, the daughter of Lester and Etta Deeley of Detroit.
Janeene graduated from Principia College in 1944. That same year, she married George A. Hagan, who preceded her in death. She enjoyed many years as a homemaker; and in 1978, she began a successful sixteen year career as a realtor at Peppler Realty in Glen Arbor.
Together, she and George raised their 3 children: Gary (Nancy); Joy, and Mark, who survive. Janeene is also survived by grandchildren Scott (Amy), Sarah (Dave), Ken (Amy), Steve (Barb) and Paul (Rachel) and Riley. She was the proud great-grandmother of Dorian and Christian; Andy and Tommy; Kate, Chris and Nick; Max and Griffin; and expected great granddaughter, Cadence.
Having been an only child herself, her greatest source of pride has always been her ever-growing family tree, all whom will miss her very much.
Glen Haven has always been the gathering place for the Hagan Clan. A private family celebration is planned at that location this summer to honor Janeene's wishes.
Any memorial contributions can be made in her name to Hospice of Michigan, whose compassionate care at the end of her life was so appreciated by the family.
