Janet Grace Peppler of Glen Arbor, Michigan, age 93, departed this life on January 8, 2022. Janet was born to Ida and Bill Krohl on November 13, 1928, in Detroit. Ida passed away when Janet was only 11; her step-mother, Emma Krohl, was a loving mother to Janet and her brother, Ray.
Janet's greatest joy in life was her family. She married Thomas Peppler on June 26, 1948, and they spent 46 happy, fun-filled years together. She is survived by her loving children, David (Peggy) Peppler and Susan (Terry) Sutherland; as well as grandchildren Robert (Pooja Thakrar) Sutherland, Daniel (Maggie) Sutherland, Christian Peppler, James (Jessica) Peppler, and Jackie Peppler. She is also survived by five great grandchildren: Aedyn Peppler, Midori Sutherland, Conor Sutherland, Wyn Sutherland, and Hugo Sutherland.
During her lifetime, Janet was very involved with her church (Bethlehem Lutheran) and her community (Glen Lake Women's Club, Glen Lake Garden Club, Glen Lake Community Library).
Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Peppler; her son, Stephen Peppler, and her brother, Ray Krohl.

A funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Glen Arbor. There will be a time of visiation prior to the service beginning at 10:30 a.m. Following the service, you are cordially invited by the family to join them for a luncheon and time of fellowship at the Broomstack Kitchen & Taphouse, 172 W. Burdickville Road, Maple City, MI 49664.
