Janice Lee Jackson, 77, of Long Lake passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Munson Medical Center. Janice was born on June 9, 1936 in Traverse City to the late Ernest and Martha (Hine) Clark. She was married to Elmer James Jackson, Jr. on June 2, 1956 in Lake Ann. Janice loved to cook for her family and friends. She volunteered at the Methodist Youth Fellowship as well as the Timber's Girl Scout Camp. Janice really loved to go fishing and playing euchre.
Janice is survived by her husband, Elmer, a son, Rick (Jenifer) Clark, four grandchildren; Kristin Clark, Jordon (Brianna) Shaffer, Andrew Shaffer and Tyler Shaffer. Also surviving are two sisters; Louise (Harold) Richardson and Norma Lamphier, three sisters-in-law; Ruth Clark, Gaylene Clark and Joanne Thayer and many special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers; Wayne Clark, Gerald Clark, Ron Clark and Leon Clark.
In accordance with Janice's wishes cremation has taken place.
