Janice "Jan" Louise Maull, 77, of Traverse City passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018.

Jan was born on December 14, 1940 in Traverse City to the late Raymond W. and Gladys (Rinehart) Hart. Jan attended Traverse City Public Schools and graduated in the Class of 1959. She married the late Glen A. Maull on March 25, 1978.

Jan enjoyed working and worked many places during her life time. She started at the Milliken's Department Stores, then for the Social Security and Disability Determination Services, The Girls Scouts, The Alzheimer's Association, The former Asbury United Methodist Church as a nursery school attendant and most recently as an office manager for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company retiring in 1993.

In her spare time she enjoyed traveling especially to the Upper Peninsula and Alaska and craft projects.

Surviving Jan is her sister Arlene Hart, sister-in-law Marie, stepchildren; Robert (Sherry) Maull, Robin Carter, Sheryl Maull, Anthony Maull, Kerry (Becky) Maull, many grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Diane (Lon) Kinney, Bev (Bill) Thomas, Barbara (Don) Bates, Douglas (Michelle) Hart, Kristie (David) McNeil, her loyal and very loved dog Gabby and many other loving family members and friends.

Jan is preceded in death by her parents, husband Glen, brothers Vern and Raymond Hart, and stepson Thomas Maull.

Funeral services for Jan will take place at 2pm on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the Bayview Weslyan Church with a visitation beginning at 1pm. Burial will take place at the Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens next to her beloved husband Glen.
