Janice Ann Sargent, 75, of Traverse City passed away peacefully on November 30, 2024 with her family by her side.
Janice was born on May 28, 1949 in Flint to the late Waynard and Leah (Muma) Mumrow.
Janice had a heart of gold. She was a dedicated nurse for nearly 40 years, a Red Cross Volunteer and Big Sister for over 10 years. She was a devoted and loving mother; her children were her world. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, bird watching, craft shows and basket weaving.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Leah "Marlene" Sommers and Gail Eickhoff; and her beloved cat Buddy.
Janice is survived by her daughter Rebecca (Roy) Kuhn; son Steven (Christine) Sargent; grandchildren by marriage Aiden, Austin and Ava; and sisters Nancy (Chuck) Shinouskis and Cheryl (Rod) Kelley.
Private family services will be held. She will be laid to rest at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Grawn.
Memorial contributions in her honor may be directed to Hospice of Michigan who helped her family take such great care of her in her final months.
