Jason Tyler Schwartz, 31, of Traverse City, a gifted artist and beloved son passed away December 13, 2020 after a long illness.
Jason was born on July 20, 1989 to Keith and Kathy (Shemell) Schwartz in Traverse City.
Jason graduated from Traverse City Central High School and then earned an Associate's Degree with honors in Visual Communications from NMC.
Jason lived for music, skateboarding and art. He was a gifted photographer, painter, sketch and multi-media artist. His favorite genre of music was Electronic Dance. He had a wonderful smile and the greatest sense of humor. He will be greatly missed for his compassion and kindness by his parents, friends and dogs Missy and Max.
Jason was preceded in death by his older brother Kody Dylan and his paternal grandparents and maternal grandpa.
Jason is survived by his parents Keith and Kathy, grandmother, Joann Shemwell; uncles and aunts, Greg and Mary Schwartz, Earl and Debbie Shemwell, Steve Shemwell, Mary (Schwartz) and Charles Nyhus, Carol (Shemwell) and Senio Cerilli, and Linda (Shemwell) and Reggie Nickerson; and his many cousins.
Jason's life will be celebrated by his family. Memorial contributions in his honor may be directed to Great Lakes Humane Society.
