Jason Douglas Soloman, 17, of Traverse City passed away as the result of a car accident on October 3, 2026.
Jason was born on April 16, 2009 in Grand Blanc. He was the beloved son of Brian and Jessica (Stephenson) Soloman and brother to Brandon, Morgan, Ethan and Evan.
Jason attended Cherry Knoll where he made many lifelong friends. He then excelled at East Middle School where he was an outstanding wrestler. His love for wrestling transformed into a devotion to football where he dominated on both the offense and defense. He was an incredible teammate, friend and human.
Jason was an avid hunter, boater and fisherman, always processing his own meat and then preparing it for friends and family to enjoy. He was a phenomenal cook and loved to bake pies. He worked at Firefly since he was 14 and was loved by his fellow coworkers. He also enjoyed traveling.
Jason was charming, charismatic, respectful and just a really great kid. He was jovial, a natural leader and had an old soul. He loved making others laugh and he will be so dearly missed by all who knew him.
Jason is survived by his parents Brian and Jessica; siblings Brandon, Morgan, Ethan and Evan; his grandparents Pete and Anita Stewart and Roger and Mary Soloman; aunts and uncles Alyssa (Pete) Chapman, Mike (Betsy) Stephenson, Kelsey (Tito) Caballero, Mattie (Kevin) Stewart, Michelle (Kirk) White, Julie Soloman, James (Meghna) Soloman, and Jason (Jessica) Soloman and many cousins and extended family members.
The funeral celebrating his life will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 11 am at the Mission Hill Church. Feel free to wear camo or your football pride.
Memorial contributions in his honor may be directed to the family and they will use it to honor his memory.
