Jasper Junior Weese

Jasper Junior Weese, 87, of Traverse City, went home to be with the Lord on February 13, 2016.

Jasper was born on February 9, 1929 to the late Cecil and Sylvia Weese in Traverse City. He married Jeannette I. Bess on May 16, 1951 also in Traverse City.

Jasper served over 24 dedicated years on the Traverse City-City Commission Board and 16 years on the Cherry Capital Airport commission. He was a member of the Peninsula Bible Church and was active on several boards thru the church also. In his spare time he loved to play euchre both with friends and at the casino. Most importantly Jasper loved his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Surviving Jasper is his wife Jeannette of 64 years; children, Lynn Starner of Bridgman, MI, Larry (Pat Blair) Weese of Traverse City, Sheila (Frank) Pickard of Traverse City, Brian Weese of Kingsley, Rick (Jen) Weese of Bridgman, 9 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, sisters Jean Cline and Joanne Jenkins and many other family members and friends.

Jasper is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jack and Jerry Weese, and brother-in-law's Sidney Cline and Dale Jenkins.

A memorial service will be held for Jasper at 11am on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Peninsula Bible Church on Fair Street in Traverse City. A visitation will be held one hour prior.
