JB Wheeler, age 86, of Traverse City, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025.

JB honorably served our country in the US Army as part of the 101st Airborne Division. He was a volunteer firefighter for many years. He retired from United Technology as a maintenance worker and was a lifetime member of AmVets Post 120. A meticulous man, JB was very skilled and organized. He built his own home and also enjoyed building electric train models, camping, and doing puzzles.

JB was widowed by his wives, Sally and Linda. Also preceding him in death are his daughter, Rhonda Wheeler; parents, George & Irene (Wyman) Wheeler; siblings, Willard Wheeler, Georgia Chamberlain, and Noel Wheeler.

He is survived by his daughters, Robin (Del) Lemcool, Renee Smith, Roxanne (Will) Roose, Tina Matthews; many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren; and his brother, Cecil (Cheri) Wheeler.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2025 at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth St. Traverse City. Family will welcome visitors an hour prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude's Children Hospital.
