Jean E. Weatherholt

Jean E. Weatherholt, 90, of Traverse City, passed away Monday, April 23, 2018 at home surrounded by her family.
Jean was born on September 19, 1927 in Traverse City to the late Charles C. and Clara B. (Ramsay) Barr. She graduated from Traverse City Central High School in 1945. On March 4, 1946 she married Floyd "Tom" Weatherholt, who preceded her in death in 1986. Tom and Jean were members of St. Francis Catholic Church, and Jean was a member of the church choir. Jean will be remembered for her deep love of her family and of her husband and his sense of humor. She was also nurtured by music, books, and tending to her flower gardens and birds. She also enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and sharing good times with her "Mother Mason" family.
Jean is survived by her seven children Sherry Lark, Julie (Alex) Misico, Jill (David) Kipley, Janine (Paul Nimmer) Weatherholt, Jon Weatherholt, Camille (Jeff Leonhardt) Weatherholt and Michelle (Jeremy Cutler) Weatherholt. She is also survived by her much loved grandchildren Tamralee (Philip) Crowley, Amber Lark, Travis (Renee) Lark, Vicki (Jeff) Hall, Dawn (Kevin Haugh) Misico, Brett (Kelly) Kipley, Thomas (Nikki) Kipley, Thomas Weatherholt, Johanna Nimmer, Mikyla Cutler; her great grandchildren Kam Crowley, Tyler Spatola, Jacob Spatola, Ashley (Karl) Bastian, Paige Bartos, Myia Hall, Victoria Bartos, Indigo Hall, Emerald Haugh, Holden Kipley, Ava Lark, Cyrus Lark; and great great grandchildren Izaiah Crowley, Wesley Bastian, Mason Bastian and many other loving family members and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Jean was preceded in death by her siblings and their spouses Pauline (Albert) Lautner, Cleone (Ralph) Green, and William (Katherine) Barr.
A Rosary will be held from 5-5:30 on Sunday, April 29, followed by a visitation until 8pm at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
Visitation will take place at 10 am on Monday, April 30, at St. Francis Catholic Church followed by a Mass at 11am. A luncheon will follow. Grave-side committal services will be held immediately following at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
