Jeane L. Beaird

Jeane L. Beaird, 61, of California and formerly of Traverse City and Illinois, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 11, 2012 in California.

Jeane was born on August 15, 1951 to Forrest and Mary (Dean) Beaird in Canton, IL.

She received her degree in Library Science and English from Illinois State University. Jeane went on to teach in Astoria, Staunton, and Chatham, IL, before earning a Master's Degree from the University of Alabama in 1991. She continued with her passion of literacy and talent for reading working as the Librarian with Riverside County Library. Jeane was a faithful, educated and loved individual that will be deeply missed by all those that truly knew her.

Jeane is survived by her loving mother, Mary Catherine Beaird of Glen Arbor, and her sister, Janis Beaird of Northport, AL, as well as many other loving family members and friends.

Jeane was preceded in death by her father, Forrest D. Beaird on May 10, 2007.

Memorial services will take place at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the Glen Lake Community Reformed Church, with Rev. Jack Beaird officiating.

Private grave-side committal services will be held in Maple Grove Cemetery at a later date.
