TRAVERSE CITY — Jeanette Laura Mroz, 79, of Traverse City, formerly of Manton and Detroit, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.Jeanette was born Oct. 24, 1931, to the late Howard and Julia Dickerson in Detroit. She was the beloved wife of Joseph J. Mroz, formerly of Lead Screw International, entering into marriage on June 4, 1963.Jeanette was a loving and caring person, as she maintained the home for her large family and was a mother to nine. She and Joe enjoyed spending time together fishing, visiting Georgian Bay and taking trips to see family in Nevada. She could often be found reading and liked many of today's popular novels.Jeanette was proud of her husband and family. In earlier years at home with the younger kids, she helped out volunteering with the Girl Scouts.Jeanette and her husband, Joe, are members of Trinity Lutheran Church. She will be remembered for her love and patience with raising a large family.Jeanette is survived by a loving husband of over 48 years, Joseph J. Mroz, of Traverse City; their children, Shiela, Sharon, Susan, Karen, Kimberly Ann, Diane, David, Joseph T. and Steven; many beautiful grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends.Visitation for friends and family will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. this evening, June 21, at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.Funeral services will take place at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Robert M.
