Jeanne T. Brady

Jeanne T. Brady, 75, of Traverse City, passed away unexpectedly at her home May 25, 2013.

Jeanne was born on Friday, August 27, 1937 to the late Franklin and Catherine (Wagner) Buck in Toledo, Ohio.

Jeanne had made her home in Traverse City since 1970, other than a few years in Phoenix, AZ. She was a very active member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Parish, where she volunteered with the Health Ministries and other church related projects. She was also a member of Zonta and was the driving force and founder of the annual Zonta Golf outing. Jeanne was employed at Ford Insurance Agency. She loved Traverse City, and her many family and friends, as she always felt a true sense of community. Jeanne was a mother, friend and guiding light to all she touched. She was quick with a smile, a hug, and never left the house without her pucker paint on.

She is survived by her daughters, Beth (Richard K.) Harris of Buckeye, AZ, Jennifer Wooley of Saline; her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Justin (Neva) Harris and their children C'anna and Brady, of Peoria, AZ; Ian, currently serving with the U. S. Navy (Kenya) Harris of Oceanside, CA, and their children Giada and Aislan, Joseph Wooley and Griffin Wooley, both of Saline; a sister, Mary Helen Connolly of Gahanna, OH and many extended family members. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Catherine Ann Adamschick and a brother, Franklin Buck.

Visitation for Jeanne will take place from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 28 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home with the rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 29 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior to the mass. The Rev. Fr. Anthony Citro will preside at the mass.

The family suggests that memorial contributions in Jeanne's name be directed to the Health Ministries of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or to the Zonta Golf Outing program.
