Jeanne Theresa Fedorinchik, 97, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 16, 2019 in Spring, Texas.

Jeanne Theresa (Murphy) Fedorinchik was born in Detroit on November 8, 1921 to parents Theresa and Michael Murphy. She graduated from St. Gregory High School in 1940. In 1941, Jeanne married George Fedorinchik and together they had three children: Sharon (Michael) Murphy of Houston, TX, Dennis (Barbara) Fedorinchik of Traverse City, MI, and William (Cecilia) Fedorinchik of Oxford, MI.

Jeanne adored her twelve grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren. Everyone lovingly referred to her as "Grandma Jeanne" or "GJ", young and old alike. She will be greatly missed by each and every one of them.
After retiring from the insurance business in 1984, Jeanne volunteered at the Grand Traverse County Probate Court working with troubled youth. Jeanne was a dedicated supporter of all military service members and proudly flew her flag every day.

Jeanne was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish and served on several volunteer committees. The family will welcome friends at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home on the evening of Friday, November 8, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Saturday, November 9 beginning at 11 a.m. Additional visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Fr. Anthony Citro and Fr. Jim Hayden will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion Post #35 in Traverse City.
