Jeannine Mary Milne

Jeannine Mary "Jeanne" Milne, 67, a life long resident of Traverse City, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Jeanne was born in Traverse City on November 25, 1947, the daughter of Robert William and Ruth Clare (Richard) Hodge. She attended St. Francis Schools and graduated from St. Francis High School in 1966.

Jeanne attended St. Francis Church and had been employed for 35 years at The Interlochen Center for the Arts where she was originally a florist, decorated the President's Christmas Tree every year and for many of her years there worked in the Scholar Shop.

She is survived by her brother, Robert R. (Mary) Hodge of Mukwonago, WI, her sister, Camille (Ron) Parker of Traverse City, nieces and nephews, Laura, Mike, Ann, James, John, Michele, Matthew, Jeannine, David, Daniel, Bryan and Kevin and many great nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her step children, Lisa, Cindy and Robert, Jr as well as her very dear friend from childhood, Pat Thompson. Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Milne who she married Feb. 14, 1976 at All Faiths Chapel, as well as her parents and her brother Richard (Dorothy) Hodge.

Visitation for Jeanne will take place 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at St. Francis Church with the funeral mass following at 2:00 p.m.. Father Polycarp Mblarawa will preside. Burial will be in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Munson Hospice, St. Francis Catholic Church or The Carmelite Monastery.
