Jeffrey Alan Tibbits passed away on August 28, 2022 at home in Cedar, Michigan. He will be remembered as a loving and supportive husband, son, brother and family member, as well as a loyal supporter of his alma mater, Michigan State University. An avid outdoorsman and conservationist, he loved northern Michigan and its fishing, wildlife and recreation. He obtained National Wildlife Federation certification for his property in Leelanau County as a sustainable wildlife habitat. He was a board member of Ducks Unlimited and The Ruffed Grouse Society; member of Trouts Unlimited, The National Wild Turkey Federation, and Pheasants Forever. He also enjoyed volunteering with several outreach programs at Grace Episcopal Church and was a member of the Elks.
Jeff was the son of the late Keith Tibbits, Sr. and Jean Tibbits, and the brother of the late Keith Tibbits, Jr. He is survived by his wife Christine, brother-in-law Jonathan Ngau, sisters-in-law Sharon Ngau and Michelle Ryan Tibbits, nieces Ashley (Todd) Huff and Kelsey (Adam) Pompa, nephews AJ (Ashley) Tibbits, and Matthew Ngau, grand-niece Presley Tibbits, and grand-nephews Hayes and Hayden Huff. He was the proud owner of two beloved German shorthaired pointers, the late Bruno and Bella, his late parents' dog Cooper, and a recent new puppy Trudy.
