Jenny Lee Strait, 78, of Traverse City passed away July 15, 2019 at Munson Medical Center.

Jenny was born on November 17, 1940 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Robert and Betty Jane Quandt.

Jenny married Ronald Strait in 1959 in Lansing after graduating from Lansing Eastern High School.

She worked for Giantway as a cashier for 22 years. She also was a dedicated volunteer at the Osteopathic Hospital, at Munson Hospital, and for St. Francis Catholic Church where she helped give communion to those in need. She was also involved with Right to Life.

In her free time she enjoyed playing cards, camping at Lake Dubonnet, canoeing and strawberry milkshakes. Above all she cherished her kids and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

Jenny was preceded in death by her son Douglas Lee.

Jenny is survived by her sons Daniel Lee and David Lee; daughter Deborah Lee; grandchildren Kyle, Lindsay, Jason, Andrew, Jessica, Sara, Amanda and Alex; great grandchildren Brionna, Brody, Brennan, Bradyn and Cora; siblings Nancy, Martha, Tim and Mary Beth; and special friends Chuck and Barb.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis Catholic Church on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the luncheon at Oakwood Catholic Cemetery.
