Jerrilyn S. Boike, 76, of Traverse city passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

Jerrilyn was born on January 1, 1944 in Saginaw, the daughter of Fred and Norine (Bluemer) Rieder.

Jerrilyn was the first female sales manager at Chef Pierre and executive assistant to the president at Cone Drive. Jerrilyn retired in 2008.

Jerrilyn loved reading, Scrabble, Neil Diamond and camping with her family. In 1997 she gave her daughter Kristine a Kidney.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Boike, her daughter, Kristine S. Boike, and her parents Fred and Norine (Bluemer) Rieder.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa A. Boike of Traverse City, her sisters, Jacqueline (Donald) Hedrick, of Saginaw, Marilyn (Jim) Prevost, Kathlyn (Gary) Engelhardt of Cedar, Carolyn King of East Lansing, and a brother Richard Rieder of Pine Colorado, also very special friends, Dennis Svec and Cindy Gulvas, and numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1pm for Jerrilyn on Saturday August 7, 2021 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1050 Peninsula Dr. Traverse City, MI 49684.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to the Kristine S. Boike Memorial Scholarship Fund at NMC or the local organization of your choice helping people affected by the pandemic.
