Jerry Liquia, 71, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 4, 2024 with his loving family at his side.
Jerry was born in Marquette, Michigan, to the late Roland and Donna (Belingar) Liquia. On October 25, 1985, he married the love of his life, the late Angela Kaye Schaub, in Traverse City, Michigan. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Emily and Joel, who were the joy of his life.

After his discharge, he returned to Michigan, where he built a career as a skilled tool and die maker and machinist. He spent many years working for Tower Automotive, along with several other businesses in Traverse City, where he was respected for his dedication and hard work.
In his spare time, Jerry found joy in nature and creativity. He loved fishing, gardening, and was an exceptionally talented woodworker. One of his recent projects, a beautiful wedding arch he crafted for his son's wedding, stands as a cherished memory for his family.
Jerry will be remembered for being the most famous Yooper south of the bridge, and, most importantly, his deep love for his family. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
