Joan Marie Leech, age 91, of Eastport, Michigan (formerly of Troy, Michigan) passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. Joan was born on December 10, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan.

Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband Ransom in 2010, and is survived by her children Bruce (Joan) Leech, Martha (Steve) Sutterer, Diane (Jim) Campbell, eight grandchildren, Bryant, Amanda, Michael, Todd, Matthew, Katie, Sarah, Adrianne, and Fiona, and four great grandchildren, Aubrey, Evy, Georgie and Ava. Joan was a graduate of Michigan State University where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. Joan was very dedicated to her family and was very involved in all of their activities. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and playing with her grandchildren, and was always making lists and menus for special family occasions! Her favorite thing to do was sit at Torch Lake and watch her family and loved ones enjoy time together.

A private family service will be held in December with a Celebration of Life to be scheduled for Summer 2024. Details will be announced at a later date.
