John Joseph Jagosz

John Joseph Jagosz, 78 of Cedar, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at his home with his loving wife at his side.
John was born on July 19, 1934 in Detroit, MI to the late Walter and Mary (Zbrudzewski) Jagosz. He married Kathryn Ann Baetz on September 6, 1980 also in Detroit.
John honorably served our Country in the United States Army in the 3rd Armor Division. After his time in service he went to work for General Motors and worked as an Designer & Checker. After retirement from GM he went to work for Hawtal Whiting.
John enjoyed tending to his yard, fishing, being with "the boys" & "spending time with his dear " grandchildren . He has a vast collection of beautiful lighthouses, castles and model cars. Music also brought joy to John.
John was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Surviving John is his wife Kathy, children Madonna (David) Swanson, John Michael Jagosz, Michelle (Guy) Boccia, grandchildren, Shawn, Michael, Erik, Alec, Patrick and Jade, siblings, Lottie "Laura" (John) Konkal, Gerald (Doris) Jagosz, and many other loving family members and friends.
John is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Walter and Richard.

John will always be remembered by those who loved him for his clever wit and his readiness to joke and laugh. His sense of humor and fondness for affectionate teasing often brought laughter to his beloved family and cherished friends.


Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 4-7pm at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home with a rosary held at 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 11am with a visitation held one hour prior. Fr. Michael Janowski will preside. Interment will take place in the spring at Rose Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Munson Hospice or Paralyzed Veterans of America.
