John Wesley Mack III, 68, of Traverse City passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.

John was born on May 4, 1948 in Madison, WI to John and Jean (Scherer) Mack. He married Linda Casper on June 21, 1969 in Janesville , WI. John moved to the Traverse City area where he and Linda raised their three children. He worked at the family business, Mack Oil Company, for many years. John enjoyed playing golf, pickle ball, camping and traveling to Florida.

John is survived by his wife Linda (Casper) Mack; Father John Mack jr, Mother Jean(scherer)Natvig; daughters Lisa Cook and Heather Bockhol; son Mike (Rhonda) Mack; sisters Terry Carter , and Ellen Martin; brothers Pat Mack, Mike Mack and Bob Mack; 13 grand children and 10 great grand children.

John was preceeded in death by his step parents.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at The Journey Church, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Pastor Chris Hinterman will officiate.
