John Howard Rinehart's Obituary
John 'Howard' Rinehart, 76, of Traverse City passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the Grand Traverse Pavilions.
Howard was born on Thursday, October 31, 1940 to John and Lois (Core) Rinehart in Traverse City. He attended Glen Lake High School and was a member of the 1959 championship basketball team. After graduation he went to work for a local building supply company. He loved driving his delivery truck and especially enjoyed the twice weekly trips to the Upper Peninsula. Howard married Jane Roush on June 22, 1963 at a service in Traverse City. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, woodworking and gardening. He attended weekly worship services at West Bay Covenant Church for over 50 years.
Howard is survived by his wife Jane (Roush) Rinehart; sons Brian Rinehart, Bruce Rinehart and Bradley (Debbie) Rinehart; brother Charles (Helen) Rinehart; grand children Lane Rinehart, Christopher Rinehart, Jessica Rinehart and Ashley Rinehart; adopted daughter Catherine (J. Balmer) Rinehart and grand daughter Ashley Rinehart.
Per Howard's wishes cremation has taken place.
