John C. Stanisz

John C. Stanisz, 88, of Traverse City formerly of Dearborn Heights passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022. John was born on August 29, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan to the late John and Julia (Czyz) Stanisz. He was married to Barbara J. Stanisz for 56 years, Barbara proceeded him in death on April 26, 2015.

John is survived by his two sons and two daughters; Michael (Debbie) Stanisz, Lynette (Jim) Purdy, Monica Washburn and Kevin (Eileen) Stanisz, ten grandchildren; Brian, Ashlee (Will), Scott (Sabrina), Michael (Terribeth), John (Wendy), Christopher, Emily, Alex (Jess), Nicholas and Olivia and six great-grandchildren, Elaina, Jack, John Rhett, William, Kennedy and Bennett. Also surviving is his sister, Christine.

A memorial mass honoring John will be held at 11:00 a.m., with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Traverse City, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial donation to St. Patrick Catholic Church – Food Pantry.
