We regret to announce the passing of John Scott Waddell, 69, of Manton Michigan on August 27, 2023. Scott passed away, surrounded by loved ones, from an automobile accident.

Scott loved spending time with his wife, LaMonta (Mona) and his children Amy (John) Colberg, Amy (Todd) Assante, and Dru (Jessica Kimble) Williams; as well as 3 grandchildren—Taylor Williams, Audra Assante, and Dalton Assante. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a member of the National Ski Patrol for 35 years.

Scott was predeceased by his mother, Dorothy Dudgeon, father Hugh John Waddell, step-father Jerry Dudgeon, and son, Matthew Waddell. Scott is survived by his wife, 3 children, 3 grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, niece and nephew.

Scott wished his ashes to be scattered in various important places. A memorial service will be held at Crystal Mountain Resort in Thompsonville, Michigan on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 3:30 PM.
