OBITUARY
John "Jack" Alexander Laing, 87, of Traverse City passed away peacefully on Friday, May 18, 2012.
Jack was born on July 26, 1924 in Detroit, MI to the late Frederick and Vivian (Munroe) Laing. He married Jacqueline Thome on April 21st, 1951.
Jack served our Country in the United States Army and later graduated from Albion College. He and his wife Jackie owned the True Value Hardware Store in Interlochen, serving their community for many years. They also were faithful members at Central United Methodist Church.
He was a loving family man who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His kind smile and gentle manner will be remembered.
Surviving Jack is his wife Jackie of 61 years, daughters Leslie and Susan and grandson John.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funereal Home. In Lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be directed to your favorite charity or the Hospice of Michigan.
